My Dear Parishioners,

I’m sure, like me, many of you have been increasingly reflecting on how artificial intelligence is shaping our society and our fundamental human dignity.

On May 25th, Pope Leo XIV released his first encyclical letter entitled, ‘Magnifica Humanitas: On Safeguarding the Human Person in the Time of Artificial Intelligence.’ He appeals for the safeguarding of humanity, promotion of truth, dignity of work, social justice, and peace.

The opening words of the encyclical summarize its underlying reasons and purpose:

“Humanity, created by God in all its grandeur, is today facing a pivotal choice: either to construct a new Tower of Babel or to build the city in which God and humanity dwell together.”

UPDATE ON REBUILD – Rooted in faith and building for the future: We will break ground in January 2027 with plans for our parish and school to welcome you home in the future. More information will follow.

FEAST OF CORPUS CHRISTI The parish feast day of Corpus Christi is Sunday, June 7. We will celebrate with a 9:30 a.m. Mass, procession and a reception following the liturgy. All are welcome.

ALTAR SERVER PROGRAM Students from grades 3-12 are invited to become an altar server for our Masses at the Carondelet Center. Training will be provided. A registration form is in the bulletin. Contact Will Salvini at will@corpuschristichurch.com for more information.

FATHER’S DAY MASS INTENTION CARDS are available on the tables at the entrance to the Chapel at the Carondelet Center. With the cards is an offertory envelope that can be filled out with the name of your living or deceased father. Please then place this envelope in the collection basket and your father’s name will be added to our novena of Masses.

CORPUS CHRISTI PENS The ever-popular Corpus Christi pens are back and are available on Sundays at the chapel entrance!!

OUR ELEMENTARY RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM
On Sunday, May 17th, our Elementary Religious Education Program came to an end for this year. Thank you to all of our teachers and volunteers. May God bless each and every one of you who served! To our students and families, thank you for the joy you all brought. We look forward to seeing you next year.

THE RITE OF CONFIRMATION After two years of preparation, the young people in our parish will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday, June 13 at 3:30 at the Carondelet Center with Cardinal Roger Mahony presiding.
